Christmas Party Time!

This weekend I hosted the first Christmas party of the year! Unfortunately, everyone except 3 people bailed last minute.* But we partied it up anyway and had a wonderful time! Here are some pictures of the decorations...perhaps you can figure out just what type of party this was:

I traveled through the seven levels of the candy cane forest,

past a sea of swirly-twirly gumdrops,

And then, I walked through the Lincoln tunnel!

Still can't figure it out?

How about now?

Yep! We had an Elf party! One of my friends has never seen the movie, so we hosted this party in her honor! Here is our spread of food! (minus the popcorn Seana and Bob brought, the homemade brownies Dev brought, and the pizza we ordered for dinner!)

*These pretzel bites are amazing.
Don't the cupcakes look delicious?! Even though most people didn't show up, it turned out quite cozy and we all had a blast :) I have one week left of classes, a few exams and I am D-O-N-E with the semester! I am looking forward to doing my crafts and getting my christmas shopping done. I better enjoy it this year since I won't be able to next year :) How were your weekends??

*I think it's really rude to tell someone you are going to do something and then, last minute, change your mind. I think it's even ruder to tell someone you're coming and then not bother to tell them you aren't coming! Yep, I literally had to ask some of these people if they were still coming or not. I know I'm on my soapbox, but honestly, if you say you are going to do something, then follow through with it. Okay, enough of my rant! :) **Although this does exclude those who 1) told me previously they wouldn't be able to make it and 2) those who had legitimate emergencies and really had to cancel.

Oh my gosh, I am dying laughing--what a fun party! And that food looks SO good!

I hate rude people, I'm sorry they let you down.

Your Christmas party treats and decorations are to cute!! I feel you on the inconsiderate people who say they are coming to the party and then don't show up or on the people whom you have to ask if they are coming or not. Hence why my roommate and I are a little burnt out on throwing parties. Glad to hear you had a great time nonetheless!! Happy Holidays!
