The Week Before Spring Break

Ahhh! I don't know if this was how it was at every school, but during nursing school (and even while I was at Clemson!) it seems like every single professor piles on so much work the week before spring break! I have had so much to do this week and I still have more to get accomplished this weekend! But if I can just make it to 1:00pm on March 4th...well, I'll be one happy camper:)

Tomorrow's clinicals are labor and delivery unit!! I'm very excited! And I know this is a short message and I haven't posted in a week, but I have to get up at 5am!! So I'm going to bed:) Have a good night y'all!

Vancouver

I don't know about you, but I am thoroughly enjoying the winter olympics this year! It makes me want to go back a few years and learn to ice skate really well or learn how to do some good down hill skiing! I'm living vicariously through my tv though!

I've loved loved loved watching people win gold medals- especially the canadian guy who has the brother with cerebral palsy- such a sweet story! And the Chinese ice skate pair who have been together for 18 years, their last olympics and they finally won gold! And NOW Lindsey Vonn has won her gold medal!

The downside: I'm getting no school work done. Woops. Oh well, the olympics aren't on every year, ha!

Have a great week y'all!! And.... GO USA!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

I hope you all have enjoyed spending it with your "valentine"!! As for me and my boy, we celebrated yesterday! I had to come home today since I have classes tomorrow so we celebrated a day early:) Here's a rundown on the weekend:

Friday night it snowed, and snowed, and well...snowed some more! We ended up getting about 4 inches and I was so excited I was at the new house for the first snow! It was beautiful!

*The beautiful front of the house covered in snow! *

* Our backyard! Lots and lots of snow! *

Marley loves the snow so we took him out for a bit on Friday night. Here is what he looked like when he came inside:
*My puppy snowball :) *
He was a puppy snowball! The poor boy could hardly walk, ha!

Saturday, we got up and built a snowman! If you live in the south, you know how fast temperatures can change and they did just that on Saturday! We barely had our snowman up before he started melting! We got a quick picture and then went inside to watch the Olympics (Which, by the way, I am totally enjoying the winter olympics this year!! What about you??!)

* Can you see the snow already melting around us?! *

Like I said earlier, we had our valentine's on Saturday! David had roses delivered to the house, they were beautiful!

We got ready and went to a delicious dinner at our favorite restaurant, Nami. (It's a really nice japanese restaurant in Anderson, SC! You should definitely stop by if you are ever driving by on 85!!) It was so so nice to just get to spend time with David and talk about anything and everything we could think of!

*Dressed up and ready to go for our valentine's dinner! *

My favorite part of the night though, is when we were heading to bed and watching an info-mercial on 60's music. All I can say is I'm glad I didn't grow up in the 60's music era (I'm sorry if you enjoy it, I don't hate it, but it's just not my taste!!) but David had me laughing so hard! I think I laughed for literally an hour- it was pure bliss:)

I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's weekend, did you all get snow? Go out to dinner? Fill me in, I want to hear all about it!

Procrastination Station!

I have another test tomorrow and I am having the hardest time getting motivated to study for it! I'm so exhausted from today and I just worked out and I'm ready to just get in bed and sleep for days haha!

So I thought I'd update my blog. This weekend David was supposed to come up, but he had a cold last week and I told him to just stay home because I can't risk getting sick right now! 1. I can't miss school otherwise I'll miss too much information and 2. clinicals this semester are mom's and new babies and I can't risk bringing germs to them and making them sick! He was feeling better by this weekend so he made some major plans with his friends: HALO contest! Woohoo, you know you'd have liked to be a fly on the wall in that house on Saturday night! Ha! :)

I didn't do much. I went out to lunch and a movie on Saturday with my mom and some of her friends. We saw From Paris, With Love. It was better then I thought it was going to be but I wouldn't see it again! Unfortunately I didn't get much sleep Saturday night because a certain little booger kept me up sick all night! Poor little Marley had diarrhea and it carried over to Sunday morning. He was acting fine, all perky and all (but still had jungle butt!) and around 12 he just started getting really lethargic. I was studying for my test and he crawled up onto my lap and underneath the blanket I had and just laid there for hours and hours. He finally started throwing up sometime that afternoon and after that I think he started to feel better. He slept for a little while longer on my lap and when he started acting hungry I made him some rice! (Am I a good momma or what?!)

He's doing much better today and for that I am thankful because today's classes were totally stressing me out! And I'm going to be even more stressed out tomorrow if I don't find some motivation to study for my test so I'd better get going! How was Monday for everyone?!

Rainy Afternoons.

It's not the afternoon anymore and my battery is about to die so I thought I'd post really fast! It was soooo rainy today! My backyard literally looked like a lake! Poor Marley didn't even want to go outside because of all the standing water! He came in and he was soaking wet up to his belly! Needless to say, I didn't do anything today except, you guessed it, nursing work!

I did go out to dinner with my mom tonight and that was fun:) Then we came home and watched The Dead Poet's Society. It is such a good movie and we had a good time watching it together!

My life is so boring these days I feel like I have nothing to blog about except nursing work or sitting around relaxing on the weekends! I'm sorry haha! But I'll bore you no longer--I'm going to bed! Have a wonderful (and hopefully dry!) night! :)

Relaxation Station

My day off today was great! I saw "The Edge of Darkness" with my mom and one of her friends. I personally didn't like it--it honestly kind of scared me ha! But my mom enjoyed it. We went to lunch at Pei Wei, a kind of "fast food" japanese place, although it is a sit down place. It was really just nice to not have to go to school!

Unfortunately I'm in the middle of finding a new look for my blog, so it's going to look pretty shabby until I figure out what I want to do with it!. The previous one I had didn't last very long:) Do you guys have any suggestions of where I can find one?! I am thinking about getting someone to design me one, but until I have time to blog everyday, I think I'm going to have to put that idea on the back burner! Any free blog templates you guys know of? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)

I think I'm about to go take an online quiz...I guess my day of relaxation is coming to an end! It's okay because I'm holding out for another snow day in a few weeks--I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Night y'all!
