I Have Run Out...

....of excuses on why I can't blog today. I know, I know...I haven't blogged in weeks but to be completely honest, I just haven't been feeling it. I don't feel like my life is that exciting in the day-to-day and I know it would just bore y'all to death! I find your lives much more exciting to read about ha! But I'm trying to get back in to the swing of things here so bear with me! :)

I told you in my last (short) post that David and I went to the beach a couple weeks ago so I'll make that the topic of my post today. David's family has, for the last few years, planned a beach trip to St. Simon's Island in Georgia. His mom's side of the family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all go and spend a week together. It's really fun and always relaxing! I had to take one whole week of vacation off for my internship so this is the week I took. David wasn't going to be able to come until Tuesday so on Friday, I picked up David's grandfather and headed for Athens.
*David's grandfather, Poppa. Isn't he so cute?!*

I spent the night at David's parents house and we set off bright and early Saturday morning for the beach! It is normally about a 5 hour drive, but it took us 7 hours because we kept having to stop for his grandfather...it was a loonnng trip down, ha!

*David's parents, don't they make a great couple?*

Most of the days were spent out on the beach. I don't know about you but when I go to the beach...I like to stay on the beach! Unless it's raining, I want to be outside getting some sun. And would you believe it didn't rain one time while we were there? How lucky is that?! We brought a huge cover to sit under, although I didn't sit under it much:) For the first few days, David's sister and I shared a room and got a whole lot closer, which I loved. We don't get to see it other much, so it was some great bonding time!

*Me and Susan! This is one picture out of a photo shoot ha!*

David arrived on Tuesday night and it was so good to see him! I'm definitely getting spoiled this summer seeing him everyday ;). We liked taking chairs down to the waters edge and just sitting there and relaxing! David's cousin Andrew and his girlfriend Katye were there with us.

*Andrew and Katye...I just think Katye is so pretty!*

Andrew is a big outdoorsman and loves fishing. He would fish all morning and catch all kinds of fish and sharks- I loved sitting down by the water and watching it all!

*Andrew and a baby shark he caught!*

The water was unbelievably warm, it was ridiculous! It was so hot there and even going to put your feet in the water didn't cool you off at all! It literally felt like bath water, and in some areas where the water is pretty stationary, it actually could burn your feet! You had to literally go at least waist deep before you got any relief from the hot water, ha! That was just too crazy to me:) David and I searched for sand dollars and we now have about 2 dozen of them bleaching (naturally!) in the sun right now! We are starting to work on setting up the rooms in our house and want to make a "beach" themed bathroom downstairs. We want to use the sand dollars and create some pretty decor to hang on the wall. I don't know quite yet how we will do it, but once it's finished, I'll definitely post pictures!

*Love my boy :)*

The beach was so much fun and I wish I was back there now! But I thoroughly enjoyed seeing my babies when I got home and I think they were excited to see me too :)

*Notice that my bag isn't even unpacked yet! They obviously didn't want me to leave again! *

Mom kept them and had bought Jovie a new play house which she just adores. It is so cute to watch her play! Anyway, I guess I should call it quits on this long post! Hope you guys had a great day :)
